Gumleaf Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website gumleafdigital.com.au. This page explains what personal information we collect from visitors to our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in Box Hill, NSW, and this policy is intended to reflect our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988, Cth).

Enquiries and contact form submissions. When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you’re enquiring about, and your message. This information is sent to our business inbox so we can respond to your enquiry.

Website usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (such as which pages are viewed and how long visitors stay). This may involve cookies and similar technologies that collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and general location. We do not use this data to personally identify you.

We use the information we collect to: respond to your enquiries and provide the services you’ve asked about; understand how our website is used so we can improve it; and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Marketing emails. We only send you marketing emails (such as digital marketing tips and offers) if you tick the marketing box on one of our forms. We record when and where you gave that consent. Every marketing email identifies Gumleaf Digital and includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly, as required by the Spam Act 2003.

Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies in your browser to help us understand website traffic and usage patterns. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. For more information on how Google handles data, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Our website also embeds a Google Map on our Contact page, which may set its own cookies when the map is loaded, governed by the same Google Privacy Policy linked above.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our website through usage metrics, heatmaps and session replays. Clarity uses first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies to record things like pages visited, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, which helps us find and fix problems on our site. Clarity masks text you type into forms, so the content of contact form fields is not recorded. This data is collected and processed by Microsoft. We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices: Google Analytics (website usage analytics), Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session replays), Google Maps (embedded map on our Contact page), Brevo (our customer database and email service, which stores the details you submit through our forms and sends our emails), and our website hosting provider, which processes data as necessary to serve our website. We do not share your contact form submissions with any third party except as needed to operate our business (for example, our email provider and Brevo, to receive and follow up your enquiry).

Contact form submissions are stored securely within our website’s database, sent via email to our business inbox, and saved in our customer database at Brevo so we can follow up your enquiry. Brevo may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

We retain contact form enquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain business records, after which they may be deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.

Our website and services are directed at businesses and business owners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
