Questions we get asked
Why are my business emails going to spam?
The most common causes are missing or incorrect SPF, DKIM or DMARC records, a sending service (such as Xero, Mailchimp or your website) that is not included in your SPF record, your domain or mail server appearing on a blacklist, or website forms sending email from your web server instead of an authenticated service. The wording of your email matters too, but setup problems like these are usually the first thing to fix, and they can be fixed.
What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
They are three DNS records that prove your email is really from you. SPF lists which servers are allowed to send email for your domain. DKIM adds a digital signature showing the email really came from your domain and was not changed on the way. DMARC tells receiving mail servers what to do with email that fails those checks, and sends you reports on who is sending email as your domain. Together they help your genuine email get delivered and make it much harder for scammers to impersonate your business.
Does a small business really need DMARC?
We recommend it for any business that sends email from its own domain. Without DMARC, anyone can send email that looks like it came from you, and Google, Yahoo and Microsoft now expect senders to authenticate their email. Adding a basic DMARC record is quick. The careful part is moving to full protection without blocking your own legitimate email, and that is what we manage for you.
Will my email stop working while you make changes?
It should not. Before changing anything we map every service that sends email for your domain, and we roll DMARC out in stages, starting in monitoring mode so nothing is blocked while we check the reports. DNS changes are planned so your email keeps flowing.
Do you work with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Yes, both. We set up new accounts, tidy up existing ones (users, aliases, shared mailboxes and licences), and move businesses between Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and hosting-based email.

The email health check is free. Fixing SPF, DKIM and DMARC for one domain starts from $450 + GST, including testing and a short report. Setting up Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace starts from $850 + GST for up to 5 users, and each extra domain is $150 + GST. You get a fixed quote before any work starts. Ongoing DMARC monitoring is optional and quoted separately.
What access do you need?
For the free health check, just your domain name, because the records we check are public. To fix things we need access to wherever your domain DNS is managed (for example GoDaddy, Crazy Domains, VentraIP or Cloudflare), plus admin access to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace if we are working on those. You stay the owner of everything.
